Ingredients:

Crust:

  • 2 c flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • activated yeast
  • warm water

Mix together and knead (without extra flour) for several minutes. Let rise for 1 hr. Roll or throw to desired shape. Place on greased and floured pan.

Toppings:

  • spicy chicken sausage
  • whole button mushrooms
  • fresh mozzarella
  • chopped onions
  • salt/pepper
  • homemade tomato sauce: boil to peal 2 tomatos. de-seed, blenderize flesh, and simmer for 30 min till reduced. salt to taste

Bake for 10 min in 450 deg F oven . I use a pizza stone, which is actually just an unglazed ceramic tile purchased from a second-hand store. The same night I also made a white pie with okra, asparagus, and blue cheese that tasted foul. I had good luck with a bacon, pineapple, hot pepper, and onion pie on another occasion. Dill seed and celery seed in the dough was also quite good.
